LateralGate is built so you stay in control. Here’s exactly what departments can and can’t see.
Anonymous by default. Departments see your public handle, years, rank, and prefs — not your legal name — until you accept an offer.
Your current department is auto-hidden. They never appear in your “open to offers” pool and can’t message you there.
You can block any other department. Blocked agencies can’t find you in search, send offers, or get hiring-event alerts about you.
POST certificates stay private. Verification uploads are admin-only. Departments never download the file — they only see a Verified badge if you earn it.
Reviews are anonymous. Published reviews never show your name or handle. They’re moderated before they go live. See how reviews work.
Recruit documents are encrypted. Only you can download them unless you choose to share.
Delete anytime. One confirmation permanently deletes your account and personal data we store.
